It's No Secret: Our Communities Need Transformation

Across the 10 counties in northeast Indiana where The Lutheran Foundation serves, we see brokenness, addictions, relationships in crisis, and pain. As followers of Jesus Christ, we carry the mandate to emulate His example in offering unconditional love to everyone and practical help to those in need. Our foundation has a specific interest in funding activities and programs that support mental wellness and reduce the stigma surrounding mental illness.

We honor the intent of our Lutheran founders by being good stewards of the funds entrusted to us. We invest in Lutheran churches, schools and ministries through grants and endowments, plus we award health professions scholarships. And, we invest in community organizations that focus on mental and behavioral health and wellness.

Grants

Lutheran Grants: We believe that the church should be a place where people can find whole-person help and hope. For Lutheran churches, schools and ministries in northeast Indiana that are striving to promote spiritual, mental and physical well-being and build stronger communities, we offer Lutheran Grants.

Community Grants: The Foundation is also committed to building and sustaining community networks that promote the same mission. These grants are available to organizations that intentionally address the root cause of health needs in northeast Indiana.

Endowment Services Program

We want to ensure a successful future for our Lutheran congregations, schools, and ministries so they can keep moving forward in their work to transform lives. TLF’s Endowment Services Program can invest funds on behalf of your organization, providing access to financial planning resources and expertise that will generate long-term growth and financial stability.

Health Professions and Nursing Scholarships

To proactively address our community's need for more compassionate, committed healthcare workers, The Lutheran Foundation offers scholarships to individuals pursuing a degree in nursing and other healthcare professions through the Health Professions and Nursing Scholarship Program.
