The Lutheran Foundation recognizes the need for highly trained, compassionate professionals pursuing a degree in nursing or other healthcare professions. This is a one-time scholarship and is extremely competitive.

You do not need to be Lutheran to apply for this scholarship opportunity.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Pursuing a career in nursing or health professions degree for direct patient care.
  • A permanent residence in one of the following Indiana counties: Adams, Allen, DeKalb, Huntington, LaGrange, Noble, Steuben, Wabash, Wells, or Whitley.
  • A minimum GPA of 3.20 on a 4.00 scale.
  • A current college student, a second career/older student, or planning to attend college in the upcoming school year.
  • Applicants must be above freshman status and accepted into the nursing or health professions program  (must provide documentation for verification).
  • Attending a minimum of two semesters in the upcoming school year.
  • Nursing students pursuing a Registered Nursing degree and above (no LPN, LVN, or CNA degrees).
  • Social work students must be pursuing a Master's or Doctorate degree.
  • In-person students only (no online programs).
  • Pursuing an Associate, Bachelor, Master, or Doctorate degree.
  • Attending an eligible college/university listed below.

Application and Deadline

If the SCHOLARSHIP deadline falls on a weekend or holiday, it is extended to the next business day at noon.
