The Lutheran Foundation FAQs

Are you associated with Lutheran Hospital or the Lutheran Health Network?

No. While The Lutheran Foundation was formed from the proceeds of the sale of Lutheran Hospital in 1995, we are not associated with it or the Lutheran Health Network and operate as an independent non-profit foundation.

Do I need to be Lutheran or from a Lutheran organization to apply for a grant?

While we are committed to supporting the work of the various Lutheran organizations in northeast Indiana, we also provide grants for many non-religious groups that align with our mission of promoting the physical, mental and spiritual well-being of our community.

How do I find out if my organization qualifies for a grant from The Lutheran Foundation?

You can learn more by reading the information on our pages about Partnering with the Lutheran Community Grants and Building a Healthier Community Grants. Or contact Grants Manager Terri Kortokrax, Grants Coordinator Sue Faust or Director of Ministry Programs Dennis Goff. You can find their contact information here.
