While a variety of services in the areas of mental health and addiction in northeast Indiana, they are not well-connected, and thus can be difficult to for individuals needing care to navigate.
In 2016, The Lutheran Foundation hired two new employees to serve as System of Care Coordinators to help fill in those gaps. The initial funding for these positions are provided by grants from the State of Indiana’s Division of Mental Health and Addiction (DMHA).
Kylie Riecken (Allen County) and Robert M. Corral (Adams County) work closely with DMHA and the communities they serve to identify gaps in services available for mental health, juvenile justice and youth substance abuse. They also are a part of the Regional Mental Health Coalition and The Lutheran Foundation’s LookUp initiative.
