Lutheran Ministries Grant

Grant Overview

The Lutheran footprint in our area extends beyond the ministry that takes place at our congregations and schools. Therefore, The Lutheran Foundation also offers grants to a number of Lutheran based ministries that further advance the mission of the church at large and extend the gospel through their respective ministries.

Who is Eligible

Lutheran-based ministires such as Camp Lutherhaven, Church Doctor Ministries, Concordia Theological Seminary, Cross Connections, The Fort Wayne Lutheran, Indiana District LCMS, Indiana-Kentucky Synod ELCA, Lutheran Agency for Missions to Burmese, Lutheran Life Villages, Lutheran Ministries Media, Lutheran Outdoor Ministries, Lutheran Senior Care Ministry, Lutheran Social Services of Indiana, Northeast Indiana Neighborhood Engagement, and Run Hard. Rest Well.

  1. Register to attend a Grant Workshop (required)
    • Organizations are required to attend the workshop.
    • July 2019 (date and time to be determined). Registration will be available in early 2019.
  2. Application MUST be submitted by noon on the deadline date.
    • Lutheran Ministries Application (link available following Grant Workshop)
    • Download and complete the LM Budget form
  3. Application including additional required documentation must be submitted by the deadline.
  4. Applications are reviewed and The Lutheran Foundation's Board of Directors makes final decisions on grant awards.

As a grant recipient, you are required to complete reporting requirements throughout the grant period. For information on required reports and deadlines, please reference the Grant Agreement.

Progress Report

  • Download and complete the Progress Report-Financial
  • Login to the grant portal to access the Progress Report Narrative
  • Complete the narrative portion and upload completed financial report prior to submitting.

Final Reports

  • Download and complete the LM Final Report-Financial
    • The information on the financial report must align with the information on the Budget Update submitted.
    • Any variance must be explained for each line item on the report.
  • Login to the grant portal to access the Final Report Narrative
  • Complete the narrative portion and upload the completed financial report prior to submitting.
  • Any incorrect or incomplete reports will affect release of payments or consideration of future requests.
Application Due Decision Date
September 1 (noon) December 15

Notification of the grant decision will be emailed by the 10th of the following month.
