Lutheran Congregation Grant

Grant Overview

Lutheran Congregation grants are available to provide supplementary funding for mission and ministry activities that are over and above a congregation’s normal budgetary expenses. 

Grants may be requested for mission activities such as outreach programing, mission trips, servant events, community and neighborhood outreach efforts, training opportunities, etc.  Grants may also be requested for ministry enhancement such as strategic planning, technology upgrades, capital improvements, the addition of new ministry staff, etc.

  1. Register to attend a Grant Workshop (required)
    • Orgainzations are required to attend one grant workshop per calendar year.
    • January 17th 11:30 am - 1:00 pm. Click here to register
  2. Application MUST be submitted by noon on the deadline date.
  3. Application including additional required documentation must be submitted by the deadline date. 
  4. Applications are reviewed and TLF Board of Directors makes final decisions on grant awards.

As a grant recipient, you are required to complete reporting requirements throughout the grant period. For information on required reports and deadlines, please reference the Grant Agreement.

Progress Report

  • Download and complete the Progress Report-Financial
  • Login to the grant portal to access the Progress Report Narrative
  • Complete the narrative portion and upload completed financial report prior to submitting.

Final Report

  • Download and complete the LC Final Report-Financial
    • The financial information on the financial must align with the information on budget submitted with the application.
    • Any variance must be explained for each line item on the financial report.
  • Login to the grant portal to access the MO Final Report Narrative
  • Complete the narrative portion and upload the completed financial report prior to submitting.
  • Any incorrect or incomplete reports will affect release of payments or consideration of future funding requests.

501+ Reformation Grant Reports

  • Download and complete the appropriate report:
  • The financial information on the financial must align with the information on budget submitted with the application.
  • Any variance must be explained for each line item on the financial report.
  • Login to the grant portal to access the 501+ Report Narrative
  • Complete the narrative portion and upload the completed financial report prior to submitting.
  • Any incorrect or incomplete reports will affect release of payments or consideration of future funding requests.
Cycle Application Due Decision Date
Spring March 1 (noon) May 31
Summer June 1 (noon) August 31
Fall September 1 (noon) December 15

Notification of the grant decision will be emailed by the 10th of the following month.
