Concept Paper

A concept paper is a shortened version of the application that allows our staff to get an idea of what you are requesting a grant for before you are cleared to submit a full application. The goal is to give us a chance to review your concept paper and then provide feedback so that your grant application is more likely to be approved.

The concept paper requires data about your church, school, or ministry; a summary of your project proposal; and a completed budget form.

Starting your concept paper

In order to submit your concept paper, you must start by clicking on one of the links below, which will take you to the specific page on our Grant Portal to create a concept paper for the particular grant for which you wish to apply.

Even if you have applied for grants from The Lutheran Foundation in the past, click the New Online Applicant? option to register again because this is a new version of the Grant Portal. (Please use the same email and password as you have in the past.)
